I got a brand new Intuos 4 tablet yesterday because it was on sale for $200 and I managed to have extra cash on me after AnimeNEXT this weekend. [And even after buying it I STILL have left over money, ha.]
Anywho, since I got it all set up and ready I just had an itchin' to use it. I always wondered why people complain of having to get used to new tablets/drawing surfaces... and now I can completely understand why. Having approx. 2+ inches of width and 1+ inch of height for a drawing surface is completely throwing me off. Haha. [new tablet is meant for widescreen monitors, like the one I have  ] Nothing major here, really... other than an attempt at what my night elf druid will look like when she shifts into cat come 3.2. I like the new cat forms for druids... Even if I botch the coloring horribly and ended up making my poor kitty have gangrene on her feet. D: Dunno WHAT I was doing with the coloring, really... just sort of screwed around and I am horribly out of practice and I totally screwed this up way more than it was looking originally. Oh well. Characters and Concepts belong to Blizzard. Artwork belongs to me. |

shame oC 1.1 acts funny with it... Hopefully I can resolve that problem soon or I will be the saddest panda EVER because I live for oC sessions. :C
But yeah, new tablet is superfun, and I actually enjoyed trying to digitally color something for once... haha. [and since everyone and their mother's uncle's sister's dog is insisting I try it... I may just hunker down and try an art table for AN 2010. God help us all.]
And when I say "everyone and their mother's uncle's sister's dog" I mean I mentioned at work how I visited you at the AA and my co workers and family were all "WTF U GET ART TABLE TOO RAAAWR" so yeah, good times that. D:

I really should work on coloring/digital coloring more... I've gotten so far away from it I have no idea what I'm doing, need to find mah "niche". Haha~ Of course, I also need to not be PAINFULLY RIDICULOUSLY SLOW AND OCD LEVELS OF DETAIL OBSESSED either... but that's another story.
I haven't found my happy medium either.. one day I'll LOVE CGing cel-style, and another hate it... it's weird, so I know what'cha mean!!! hehehehe.

though maybe if I have a goal, like possibly getting an art table... I may want to actually focus more. [YOU THINK ME HAVING MY DAMN STORY I WANNA TURN INTO A COMIC AND DAHAKA WOULD BE ENOUGH. WHAT THE HELL, BRAIN.]

and yay someone likes my detailed stuff. ;_; Though if I do an art table I'm prolly gonna focus on quickie doodle type things, because there's no way i can do super detailed stuff for requests/commissions because it'd take me 800 years to finish. Adurhur. ;_;
