The movement in this piece is great. It's really powerful. I love the spiraling inferno. 8D

I'm not sure how much I like the grainy fire. On one hand, it looks like paint on parchment or some other rough surface, and the texture is cool. On the other hand, the rough paint thing is kind of weird when compared to the smooth cel-shading of Amaterasu. It certainly adds a dynamic element, but it looks a bit messy around the reflector.

truth be told I was just having fun messing with different brush options in painter, "experimenting" as the cool kids say. ;D I wanted the fire to stand out, as it was the focus of the theme, so it is a bit messy... but strange as it sounds, I like the fire most, because it's so messy and out there.

What can I say? I'm a weirdo~

oh! i really dig that grainy, pastel-y texture you've used for the flames. it makes a great contrast to the super clean colors you've used on amaterasu and lends itself to the more organic background. that said, i'm not to sure how well the fox and the flame interact at the top of the image. the way the fire spirals round it is great... but i don't quite get the bit at the top.

gah, sorry to be such a negative nancy. also, am i a terrible person for having never played this game?

haha, actually amaterasu is a wolf in the game... but given how I botched the face in this pic it's pretty hard to figure out. @___.;;

And yeah, I did struggle a bit at the top, but like I said in a previous comment, I was moreso playing around with brushes than seriously paying attention. [huzzah for late night doodle sessions? D:] I'm one of those oddball people where if I actually try and think about it, I can never make anything come out right... but if I do mindless sketchings it'll turn out grand. So you can tell on the parts I tried "thinking out" what to do versus "LOL WHUTS DIS DO??". My brain is wonky, I swear.

And yer not being a negative nancy, you are offering constructive criticism! I just wish I knew what the hell I was doing, half the time when I doodle. Har... @_.;

Though you need to hunt down this game and play it ASAP. it is amazing, beautiful, and at times... down right epic of a game. :3
